Aïcha {eye-sha} makes things.

She has travelled and lived in countries across the world since she was a child, and speaks many tongues, but she calls home wherever water is near.

Aïcha has been featured in hundreds of publications internationally. Her work was shortlisted for the 2019 Kingdoms in the Wild Poetry Contest; she was a Deborah Tall Lyric Essay Book Prize finalist, as well as a 2020 Frontier Poetry New Voices Fellowship finalist; she has been recognized with, featured in, and nominated for various awards including Best of the Net, Pushcart Prize, and the Best Small Fictions.

Aïcha is a member of the African Speculative Fiction Society and the Editorial Freelancers Association. She likes to drown in waters that look like pages, sound like melodies, and scintillate like multicolored art. She writes about womanhood, culture, identity, mental illness, race, about loving until it hurts.

Always, she aims to feel, and to make feel.
